Standing seam roofs can last up to 50 years and are the most advanced roofing system to protect against BC’s harsh winter conditions, specifically ice damns. This system adds structural integrity to your roof with ½ inch plywood installed, it has a completely watertight “peel and stick” vapour barrier that adheres to the plywood. 16-inch-wide continuous panel that is formed on site in custom lengths which is all mechanically fastened with interlocking valley panels and no exposed fasteners. The end result is an aesthetically pleasing and impenetrable roof system with a 5 year craftsmanship warranty, 10 year manufacturers warranty ensuring complete peace of mind.

There are several products available for flat roofs, we are able to offer a variety of options but for where we live there are really only really three products you want to use above living space.

Torch on is a 2-ply roofing system that uses heat application to weld 2 layers of SBS membrane together to complete a roof system rated for BC building code. TPO and Vinyl are flameless applications that are alternatives to torch on. While they are only single ply membrane it can be a great substitute to torch on when flameless roofing is required. All three products are designed to protect against UV damage for at least 25 years and we offer our standard 5 year craftsmanship warranty and 10 year manufacturers warranty.

Sheet Metal Wall Cladding is a pre-finished contemporary alternative to siding.

It is a very important aspect of building envelope. It is the first line of defence against the outside environment, the most common designs for metal wall cladding are, architectural standing seam panels and interlocking metal cladding, we offer both products in a variety of colours and finishes.

Metal cladding will last 3x longer than any other product at an affordable cost and comes with a 5 year craftsmanship warranty and 10 year manufacturers warranty.

The siding products that that we offer are Hardy Board, Wood and Laminate. Building paper, rain-screen/ bug-screen installed where necessary. Gutters are the best way to divert water away from the drip edge of your roof. Rooflines can channel excessive amounts of water into unwanted areas. Due to the very nature of BC’s winter weather, ice damns often form on roofs here.

The heat escaping from inside the house contrasting with the cold outside temperatures condenses the snow through freeze/ melt cycles turning it to solid ice. Furthermore, with hydrostatic pressure caused from heat loss, ice damns can climb upwards of 3ft even on 45 degree roofs, they can creep underneath roof panels and flashings causing leaks.

Ice damns also fill up in gutters and destroy them due to the weight.

Ice damns can wreak havoc on your building’s envelope and heat trace is often the cheap and simple solution. We only use Raychem heat trace as we believe it’s the best available.

It is a double insulated, self-regulating cable that maintains a temperature of 65c or 150f and runs on 240v. It is designed to be installed outdoors specifically to melt snow and has a 10 year manufacturers warranty. We work with licensed and insured electricians to safely hardwire in a product that will sufficiently protect your home.
